The Precedent for Present Pattern

Some in the Lord's church are discounting the importance of adhering to the pattern of the New Testament revealed by Jesus through the Holy Spirit. It is as though grace and mercy are distinct from the revealed pattern. The former should be emphasized, and the latter should have limited attention given to it. However, Scripture reveals precedent for pattern from the beginning, and in the very nature of God, and pattern from God goes hand in hand with His grace and mercy.
